La sua luce \u00e8 visibile a una distanza di 17 miglia nautiche. All\u2019inizio della sua funzione, il faro si accendeva con lo stoppino, in seguito con un meccanismo di vapore a petrolio e dal 1986 funziona con l&#8217;energia solare.
