The main beach in the Karavostasis area is Chochlidia, a family beach, but there are also several small secluded beaches all around.
The main road leading to Chora and Ano Meria starts on the harbour and crosses the whole island, as does the coastal road for Livadi settlement, which passes by all the beaches on the south of the island.
The bus stop for Chora is also to be found on the harbour. There is a regular service, and the bus always meets the ferry, irrespective of its arrival time. Daily tourist boats set off daily from Karavostasis, taking visitors on swimming excursions to various beaches. The same boats also sail around the island on specific days of the week.
